Our Founder
Natalija Ulemek
Natalija Ulemek is the founder of Themis Talent, a search firm that helps defense, energy, industrial, and other hard technology companies build the leadership teams required to scale.
Over the last decade, she has worked inside some of the fastest-growing venture-backed companies, helping leadership teams solve one of the hardest challenges in scaling a business: building the organization behind the vision. Her work has spanned executive hiring, organizational buildout, workforce planning, and leadership infrastructure during periods of hypergrowth, transformation, and operational maturation.
Natalija has held talent leadership roles at Merlin Labs, Thrasio, Deputy, and Rakuten, partnering closely with founders, executives, and investors as those companies expanded into new markets, built new capabilities, and prepared for their next stage of growth.
Today, she advises founders and leadership teams on one of the most consequential decisions they make: who they hire to build, lead, and scale the company.
Cara Hendley
Cara has 10+ years of full cycle recruiting experience at startup and midsize companies. Most recently she managed recruiting operations and tech recruiting at CPG startup, Thrasio during a period of extremely high growth. Previously she hired engineers and products designers Palantir Technologies. She has also recruited for healthcare, higher ed, finance, and travel companies and has built tech teams in the US, Europe, Asia, and South America. She cares deeply about DEI hiring and the importance of building these practices into recruitment processes from the start. When she's not working she enjoys cooking, traveling, learning how to sail, and going to the beach with her dog.
